Barangay Cawayan

Barangay Cawayan forms part of Libmanan, a municipality in Camarines Sur, and is classified as a small barangay.

This made it the 57th largest of 75 barangays in Libmanan by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Cawayan moving from 1,091 residents to 890 residents, an intercensal change of -18.4%. The trajectory indicates a contracting community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Cawayan as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Libmanan is a municipality comprising 75 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Cawayan, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
