Barangay Mambayawas

Situated in Libmanan, Camarines Sur, Barangay Mambayawas is one of 75 barangays that make up the municipality within Bicol Region.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Mambayawas had a population of 942. This made it the 54th largest of 75 barangays in Libmanan by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Mambayawas accounted for approximately 0.83% of the total population of Libmanan, which stood at 112,994 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 1,084 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 942 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of -13.1%, consistent with a contracting settlement. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Mambayawas as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
