Barangay Tuy-Baanan

Barangay Tuy-Baanan is a small barangay in the municipality of Liliw, located in the province of Laguna, in the CALABARZON region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Tuy-Baanan had a population of 1,214. This made it the 10th largest of 33 barangays in Liliw by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Tuy-Baanan accounted for approximately 3.07% of the total population of Liliw, which stood at 39,491 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Tuy-Baanan moving from 974 residents to 1,214 residents, an intercensal change of +24.6%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Tuy-Baanan as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
