Barangay Soloc

Classified as a mid-sized barangay, Barangay Soloc is one of the administrative divisions of Lobo in Batangas, CALABARZON, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Soloc had a population of 2,107. This made it the 7th largest of 26 barangays in Lobo by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Soloc accounted for approximately 5.17% of the total population of Lobo, which stood at 40,736 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Soloc changed from 2,223 to 2,107, a shift of -5.2% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with contracting populations in Lobo. Barangay Soloc is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Lobo is a municipality comprising 26 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Soloc, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Batangas, which contains 1,078 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Soloc ranks 511th by 2020 population.
