Barangay Kakawit

Classified as a very small barangay, Barangay Kakawit is one of the administrative divisions of Lucban in Quezon, CALABARZON, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Kakawit had a population of 299. This made it the 27th largest of 32 barangays in Lucban by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Kakawit accounted for approximately 0.56% of the total population of Lucban, which stood at 53,091 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Kakawit moving from 306 residents to 299 residents, an intercensal change of -2.3%. The trajectory indicates a contracting community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Kakawit as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
