Barangay Poblacion

Barangay Poblacion is a large barangay in the municipality of Lugait, located in the province of Misamis Oriental, in the Northern Mindanao region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Poblacion had a population of 8,411. This made it the 1st largest of 8 barangays in Lugait by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Poblacion accounted for approximately 40.91% of the total population of Lugait, which stood at 20,559 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Poblacion changed from 8,435 to 8,411, a shift of -0.3% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with broadly stable populations in Lugait.
