Barangay Pang-Itan

Classified as a small barangay, Barangay Pang-Itan is one of the administrative divisions of Madalag in Aklan, Western Visayas, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Pang-Itan had a population of 983. This made it the 6th largest of 25 barangays in Madalag by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Pang-Itan accounted for approximately 5.20% of the total population of Madalag, which stood at 18,890 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Pang-Itan moving from 906 residents to 983 residents, an intercensal change of +8.5%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Pang-Itan as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Madalag is a municipality comprising 25 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Pang-Itan, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
