Barangay Lacaren

Classified as a very small barangay, Barangay Lacaren is one of the administrative divisions of Magsaysay in Palawan, MIMAROPA Region, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Lacaren had a population of 401. This made it the 11th largest of 11 barangays in Magsaysay by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Lacaren accounted for approximately 3.18% of the total population of Magsaysay, which stood at 12,603 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Lacaren moving from 419 residents to 401 residents, an intercensal change of -4.3%. The trajectory indicates a contracting community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Lacaren as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Magsaysay is a municipality comprising 11 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Lacaren, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
