Barangay Claro M. Recto

Classified as a mid-sized barangay, Barangay Claro M. Recto is one of the administrative divisions of Maigo in Lanao Del Norte, Northern Mindanao, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Claro M. Recto had a population of 2,105. This made it the 5th largest of 13 barangays in Maigo by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Claro M. Recto accounted for approximately 9.02% of the total population of Maigo, which stood at 23,337 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 1,613 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 2,105 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +30.5%, consistent with a growing settlement. Barangay Claro M. Recto is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Maigo is a municipality comprising 13 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Claro M. Recto, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Lanao Del Norte, which contains 506 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Claro M. Recto ranks 93rd by 2020 population.
