Barangay Malalag (Pob.)

Barangay Malalag (Pob.) forms part of Maitum, a municipality in Sarangani, and is classified as a mid-sized barangay.

This made it the 3rd largest of 19 barangays in Maitum by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Malalag (Pob.) as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.

Maitum is a municipality comprising 19 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Malalag (Pob.), including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Sarangani, which contains 141 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Malalag (Pob.) ranks 49th by 2020 population.
