Barangay Luna Sur

Barangay Luna Sur is a small barangay in the municipality of Makilala, located in the province of Cotabato, in the SOCCSKSARGEN region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Luna Sur had a population of 1,129. This made it the 31st largest of 38 barangays in Makilala by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Luna Sur accounted for approximately 1.28% of the total population of Makilala, which stood at 87,927 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Luna Sur moving from 1,032 residents to 1,129 residents, an intercensal change of +9.4%. The trajectory indicates a growing community.
