Barangay Saguing

Situated in Makilala, Cotabato, Barangay Saguing is one of 38 barangays that make up the municipality within SOCCSKSARGEN.

This made it the 2nd largest of 38 barangays in Makilala by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the municipality. Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Saguing changed from 7,389 to 7,827, a shift of +5.9% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in Makilala. Barangay Saguing is officially classified as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.

Makilala is a municipality comprising 38 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Saguing, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
