Barangay Bobon

Barangay Bobon is a small barangay in the municipality of Malasiqui, located in the province of Pangasinan, in the Ilocos Region region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Bobon had a population of 1,159. This made it the 58th largest of 73 barangays in Malasiqui by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Bobon accounted for approximately 0.81% of the total population of Malasiqui, which stood at 143,094 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Bobon moving from 1,044 residents to 1,159 residents, an intercensal change of +11.0%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. Barangay Bobon is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Malasiqui is a municipality comprising 73 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Bobon, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
