Barangay Calbueg

Classified as a mid-sized barangay, Barangay Calbueg is one of the administrative divisions of Malasiqui in Pangasinan, Ilocos Region, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Calbueg had a population of 2,171. This made it the 26th largest of 73 barangays in Malasiqui by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Calbueg accounted for approximately 1.52% of the total population of Malasiqui, which stood at 143,094 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Calbueg changed from 1,859 to 2,171, a shift of +16.8% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in Malasiqui. Barangay Calbueg is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Malasiqui is a municipality comprising 73 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Calbueg, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
