Barangay Guilig

Situated in Malasiqui, Pangasinan, Barangay Guilig is one of 73 barangays that make up the municipality within Ilocos Region.

This made it the 52nd largest of 73 barangays in Malasiqui by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Guilig changed from 1,470 to 1,354, a shift of -7.9% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with contracting populations in Malasiqui. Barangay Guilig is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Malasiqui is a municipality comprising 73 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Guilig, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
