Barangay Tolonguat

Classified as a small barangay, Barangay Tolonguat is one of the administrative divisions of Malasiqui in Pangasinan, Ilocos Region, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Tolonguat had a population of 1,277. This made it the 56th largest of 73 barangays in Malasiqui by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Tolonguat accounted for approximately 0.89% of the total population of Malasiqui, which stood at 143,094 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 890 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 1,277 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +43.5%, consistent with a growing settlement. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Tolonguat as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Malasiqui is a municipality comprising 73 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Tolonguat, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
