Barangay Umando

Situated in Malasiqui, Pangasinan, Barangay Umando is one of 73 barangays that make up the municipality within Ilocos Region.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Umando had a population of 1,505. This made it the 45th largest of 73 barangays in Malasiqui by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Umando accounted for approximately 1.05% of the total population of Malasiqui, which stood at 143,094 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 1,319 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 1,505 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +14.1%, consistent with a growing settlement. Barangay Umando is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Malasiqui is a municipality comprising 73 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Umando, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
