Barangay Warey

Barangay Warey forms part of Malasiqui, a municipality in Pangasinan, and is classified as a mid-sized barangay.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Warey had a population of 2,991. This made it the 10th largest of 73 barangays in Malasiqui by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Warey accounted for approximately 2.09% of the total population of Malasiqui, which stood at 143,094 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 2,883 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 2,991 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +3.7%, consistent with a growing settlement. Barangay Warey is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Malasiqui is a municipality comprising 73 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Warey, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
