Barangay San Dimas

Barangay San Dimas forms part of Malinao, a municipality in Aklan, and is classified as a small barangay.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay San Dimas had a population of 878. This made it the 16th largest of 23 barangays in Malinao by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay San Dimas accounted for approximately 3.58% of the total population of Malinao, which stood at 24,517 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay San Dimas moving from 873 residents to 878 residents, an intercensal change of +0.6%. The trajectory indicates a slowly expanding community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay San Dimas as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Malinao is a municipality comprising 23 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay San Dimas, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
