Barangay Guincaiptan

Classified as a small barangay, Barangay Guincaiptan is one of the administrative divisions of Mandaon in Masbate, Bicol Region, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Guincaiptan had a population of 802. This made it the 22nd largest of 26 barangays in Mandaon by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Guincaiptan accounted for approximately 1.82% of the total population of Mandaon, which stood at 44,122 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Guincaiptan changed from 790 to 802, a shift of +1.5% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with slowly expanding populations in Mandaon. Barangay Guincaiptan is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Mandaon is a municipality comprising 26 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Guincaiptan, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
