Barangay Naguilayan East

Situated in Mangatarem, Pangasinan, Barangay Naguilayan East is one of 82 barangays that make up the municipality within Ilocos Region.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Naguilayan East had a population of 509. This made it the 66th largest of 82 barangays in Mangatarem by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Naguilayan East accounted for approximately 0.64% of the total population of Mangatarem, which stood at 79,323 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 503 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 509 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +1.2%, consistent with a slowly expanding settlement. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Naguilayan East as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Mangatarem is a municipality comprising 82 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Naguilayan East, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
