Barangay Pacalat

Classified as a small barangay, Barangay Pacalat is one of the administrative divisions of Mangatarem in Pangasinan, Ilocos Region, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Pacalat had a population of 1,018. This made it the 35th largest of 82 barangays in Mangatarem by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Pacalat accounted for approximately 1.28% of the total population of Mangatarem, which stood at 79,323 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Pacalat moving from 917 residents to 1,018 residents, an intercensal change of +11.0%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Pacalat as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Mangatarem is a municipality comprising 82 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Pacalat, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
