Barangay Punta Silum

Situated in Manticao, Misamis Oriental, Barangay Punta Silum is one of 13 barangays that make up the municipality within Northern Mindanao.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Punta Silum had a population of 4,204. This made it the 2nd largest of 13 barangays in Manticao by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Punta Silum accounted for approximately 14.27% of the total population of Manticao, which stood at 29,469 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Punta Silum moving from 4,154 residents to 4,204 residents, an intercensal change of +1.2%. The trajectory indicates a slowly expanding community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Punta Silum as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.
