Barangay Sisiman

Barangay Sisiman forms part of Mariveles, a municipality in Bataan, and is classified as a large barangay.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Sisiman had a population of 7,267. This made it the 8th largest of 18 barangays in Mariveles by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Sisiman accounted for approximately 4.85% of the total population of Mariveles, which stood at 149,879 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 6,221 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 7,267 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +16.8%, consistent with a growing settlement. Barangay Sisiman is officially classified as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.

Mariveles is a municipality comprising 18 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Sisiman, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Bataan, which contains 237 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Sisiman ranks 26th by 2020 population. Bataan is classified as a 1st by the Bureau of Local Government Finance, a category that reflects the province's annual regular income.
