Barangay Kilada

Barangay Kilada is a large barangay in the municipality of Matalam, located in the province of Cotabato, in the SOCCSKSARGEN region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Kilada had a population of 5,076. This made it the 2nd largest of 34 barangays in Matalam by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Kilada accounted for approximately 6.24% of the total population of Matalam, which stood at 81,355 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Kilada moving from 5,012 residents to 5,076 residents, an intercensal change of +1.3%. The trajectory indicates a slowly expanding community. Barangay Kilada is officially classified as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.

Matalam is a municipality comprising 34 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Kilada, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
