Barangay Luya-luya

Situated in Mauban, Quezon, Barangay Luya-luya is one of 40 barangays that make up the municipality within CALABARZON.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Luya-luya had a population of 439. This made it the 33rd largest of 40 barangays in Mauban by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Luya-luya accounted for approximately 0.62% of the total population of Mauban, which stood at 71,081 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 281 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 439 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +56.2%, consistent with a growing settlement. Barangay Luya-luya is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Mauban is a municipality comprising 40 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Luya-luya, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
