Barangay Tagaslian

Classified as a very small barangay, Barangay Tagaslian is one of the administrative divisions of Maydolong in Eastern Samar, Eastern Visayas, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Tagaslian had a population of 312. This made it the 19th largest of 20 barangays in Maydolong by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Tagaslian accounted for approximately 2.04% of the total population of Maydolong, which stood at 15,314 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Tagaslian moving from 291 residents to 312 residents, an intercensal change of +7.2%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Tagaslian as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Maydolong is a municipality comprising 20 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Tagaslian, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
