Barangay Casoon

Barangay Casoon is a large barangay in the municipality of Monkayo, located in the province of Davao De Oro, in the Davao Region region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Casoon had a population of 6,651. This made it the 3rd largest of 21 barangays in Monkayo by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Casoon accounted for approximately 7.08% of the total population of Monkayo, which stood at 93,937 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Casoon moving from 5,704 residents to 6,651 residents, an intercensal change of +16.6%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. Barangay Casoon is officially classified as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.
