Barangay Maypange

Classified as a very small barangay, Barangay Maypange is one of the administrative divisions of Motiong in Samar, Eastern Visayas, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Maypange had a population of 390. This made it the 10th largest of 30 barangays in Motiong by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Maypange accounted for approximately 2.55% of the total population of Motiong, which stood at 15,276 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Maypange moving from 343 residents to 390 residents, an intercensal change of +13.7%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Maypange as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
