Barangay Tambo

Situated in Munai, Lanao Del Norte, Barangay Tambo is one of 26 barangays that make up the municipality within Northern Mindanao.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Tambo had a population of 2,815. This made it the 2nd largest of 26 barangays in Munai by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Tambo accounted for approximately 8.04% of the total population of Munai, which stood at 35,020 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Tambo moving from 2,575 residents to 2,815 residents, an intercensal change of +9.3%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. Barangay Tambo is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
