Barangay Santo Tomas

Classified as a small barangay, Barangay Santo Tomas is one of the administrative divisions of Mutia in Zamboanga Del Norte, Zamboanga Peninsula, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Santo Tomas had a population of 1,858. This made it the 1st largest of 16 barangays in Mutia by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Santo Tomas accounted for approximately 15.85% of the total population of Mutia, which stood at 11,726 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Santo Tomas moving from 1,712 residents to 1,858 residents, an intercensal change of +8.5%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. Barangay Santo Tomas is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
