This made it the 27th largest of 28 barangays in Nabunturan by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay New Dauis accounted for approximately 0.75% of the total population of Nabunturan, which stood at 84,340 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay New Dauis moving from 621 residents to 633 residents, an intercensal change of +1.9%. The trajectory indicates a slowly expanding community.
