Barangay Lanipao

Situated in Narvacan, Ilocos Sur, Barangay Lanipao is one of 34 barangays that make up the municipality within Ilocos Region.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Lanipao had a population of 677. This made it the 31st largest of 34 barangays in Narvacan by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Lanipao accounted for approximately 1.46% of the total population of Narvacan, which stood at 46,234 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Lanipao changed from 647 to 677, a shift of +4.6% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in Narvacan. Barangay Lanipao is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Narvacan is a municipality comprising 34 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Lanipao, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
