Barangay Talisay

Barangay Talisay is a mid-sized barangay in the municipality of Nasipit, located in the province of Agusan Del Norte, in the Caraga region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Talisay had a population of 3,911. This made it the 2nd largest of 19 barangays in Nasipit by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Talisay accounted for approximately 8.73% of the total population of Nasipit, which stood at 44,822 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Talisay changed from 3,729 to 3,911, a shift of +4.9% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in Nasipit. Barangay Talisay is officially classified as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.

Nasipit is a municipality comprising 19 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Talisay, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Agusan Del Norte, which contains 253 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Talisay ranks 19th by 2020 population. Agusan Del Norte is classified as a 3rd by the Bureau of Local Government Finance, a category that reflects the province's annual regular income.

Barangay Talisay is governed by an elected Sangguniang Barangay composed of a Punong Barangay and seven kagawads, with the Sangguniang Kabataan representing the youth. The next BSKE, set for Monday, November 2, 2026, will elect officials to four-year terms as provided under Republic Act No. 12232.
