Barangay Butucan

Situated in Nasugbu, Batangas, Barangay Butucan is one of 42 barangays that make up the municipality within CALABARZON.

This made it the 22nd largest of 42 barangays in Nasugbu by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Butucan accounted for approximately 1.86% of the total population of Nasugbu, which stood at 136,524 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Butucan changed from 2,112 to 2,540, a shift of +20.3% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in Nasugbu. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Butucan as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
