Barangay San Carlos

Barangay San Carlos is a small barangay in the municipality of Naujan, located in the province of Oriental Mindoro, in the MIMAROPA Region region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay San Carlos had a population of 840. This made it the 58th largest of 70 barangays in Naujan by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay San Carlos accounted for approximately 0.77% of the total population of Naujan, which stood at 109,587 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay San Carlos moving from 867 residents to 840 residents, an intercensal change of -3.1%. The trajectory indicates a contracting community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay San Carlos as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
