Barangay San Nicolas

Barangay San Nicolas is a small barangay in the municipality of Naujan, located in the province of Oriental Mindoro, in the MIMAROPA Region region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay San Nicolas had a population of 1,101. This made it the 46th largest of 70 barangays in Naujan by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay San Nicolas accounted for approximately 1.00% of the total population of Naujan, which stood at 109,587 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay San Nicolas moving from 994 residents to 1,101 residents, an intercensal change of +10.8%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay San Nicolas as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
