Barangay San Antonio

Situated in Nueva Valencia, Guimaras, Barangay San Antonio is one of 22 barangays that make up the municipality within Western Visayas.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay San Antonio had a population of 1,597. This made it the 14th largest of 22 barangays in Nueva Valencia by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay San Antonio accounted for approximately 3.73% of the total population of Nueva Valencia, which stood at 42,771 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay San Antonio moving from 1,649 residents to 1,597 residents, an intercensal change of -3.2%. The trajectory indicates a contracting community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay San Antonio as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Nueva Valencia is a municipality comprising 22 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay San Antonio, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
