Barangay Mayag

Classified as a very small barangay, Barangay Mayag is one of the administrative divisions of Oas in Albay, Bicol Region, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Mayag had a population of 451. This made it the 49th largest of 53 barangays in Oas by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Mayag accounted for approximately 0.68% of the total population of Oas, which stood at 66,084 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Mayag moving from 452 residents to 451 residents, an intercensal change of -0.2%. The trajectory indicates a broadly stable community. Barangay Mayag is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
