Barangay Talisay

Classified as a small barangay, Barangay Talisay is one of the administrative divisions of Oas in Albay, Bicol Region, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Talisay had a population of 740. This made it the 39th largest of 53 barangays in Oas by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Talisay accounted for approximately 1.12% of the total population of Oas, which stood at 66,084 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 779 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 740 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of -5.0%, consistent with a contracting settlement. Barangay Talisay is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Oas is a municipality comprising 53 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Talisay, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Albay, which contains 720 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Talisay ranks 592nd by 2020 population.
