Barangay Pag-asa (Pob.)

Barangay Pag-asa (Pob.) forms part of Obando, a municipality in Bulacan, and is classified as a mid-sized barangay.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Pag-asa (Pob.) had a population of 3,448. This made it the 7th largest of 11 barangays in Obando by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Pag-asa (Pob.) accounted for approximately 5.75% of the total population of Obando, which stood at 59,978 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 3,458 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 3,448 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of -0.3%, consistent with a broadly stable settlement. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Pag-asa (Pob.) as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Obando is a municipality comprising 11 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Pag-asa (Pob.), including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Bulacan, which contains 569 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Pag-asa (Pob.) ranks 347th by 2020 population.
