Barangay San Miguel

Barangay San Miguel is a mid-sized barangay in the municipality of Padre Garcia, located in the province of Batangas, in the CALABARZON region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay San Miguel had a population of 3,396. This made it the 8th largest of 18 barangays in Padre Garcia by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay San Miguel accounted for approximately 6.55% of the total population of Padre Garcia, which stood at 51,853 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 3,133 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 3,396 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +8.4%, consistent with a growing settlement. Barangay San Miguel is officially classified as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.

Padre Garcia is a municipality comprising 18 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay San Miguel, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
