According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Pinagbayanan had a population of 4,934. This made it the 7th largest of 27 barangays in Pagbilao by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Pinagbayanan accounted for approximately 6.27% of the total population of Pagbilao, which stood at 78,700 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 4,445 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 4,934 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +11.0%, consistent with a growing settlement.
