Barangay Tambangan (Pob.)

Barangay Tambangan (Pob.) is a small barangay in the municipality of Palapag, located in the province of Northern Samar, in the Eastern Visayas region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Tambangan (Pob.) had a population of 1,030. This made it the 14th largest of 32 barangays in Palapag by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Tambangan (Pob.) accounted for approximately 3.03% of the total population of Palapag, which stood at 34,034 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Tambangan (Pob.) moving from 1,310 residents to 1,030 residents, an intercensal change of -21.4%. The trajectory indicates a contracting community.
