Barangay San Juan

Barangay San Juan is a very small barangay in the municipality of Paoay, located in the province of Ilocos Norte, in the Ilocos Region region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay San Juan had a population of 222. This made it the 30th largest of 31 barangays in Paoay by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay San Juan accounted for approximately 0.89% of the total population of Paoay, which stood at 25,001 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay San Juan moving from 267 residents to 222 residents, an intercensal change of -16.9%. The trajectory indicates a contracting community. Barangay San Juan is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
