Barangay Tugos

Situated in Paracale, Camarines Norte, Barangay Tugos is one of 27 barangays that make up the municipality within Bicol Region.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Tugos had a population of 6,294. This made it the 1st largest of 27 barangays in Paracale by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Tugos accounted for approximately 10.46% of the total population of Paracale, which stood at 60,198 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Tugos moving from 6,411 residents to 6,294 residents, an intercensal change of -1.8%. The trajectory indicates a broadly stable community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Tugos as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.

Paracale is a municipality comprising 27 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Tugos, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Camarines Norte, which contains 282 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Tugos ranks 9th by 2020 population.
