Barangay Cancaraja

Situated in Pastrana, Leyte, Barangay Cancaraja is one of 29 barangays that make up the municipality within Eastern Visayas.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Cancaraja had a population of 495. This made it the 20th largest of 29 barangays in Pastrana by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Cancaraja accounted for approximately 2.56% of the total population of Pastrana, which stood at 19,359 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Cancaraja moving from 466 residents to 495 residents, an intercensal change of +6.2%. The trajectory indicates a growing community.
