Barangay La Esperanza

Situated in President Roxas, Cotabato, Barangay La Esperanza is one of 25 barangays that make up the municipality within SOCCSKSARGEN.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay La Esperanza had a population of 423. This made it the 25th largest of 25 barangays in President Roxas by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay La Esperanza accounted for approximately 0.81% of the total population of President Roxas, which stood at 52,512 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 282 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 423 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +50.0%, consistent with a growing settlement. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay La Esperanza as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

President Roxas is a municipality comprising 25 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay La Esperanza, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Cotabato, which contains 543 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay La Esperanza ranks 478th by 2020 population. Cotabato is classified as a 1st by the Bureau of Local Government Finance, a category that reflects the province's annual regular income.
