Barangay San Rafael

Situated in Prosperidad, Agusan Del Sur, Barangay San Rafael is one of 32 barangays that make up the municipality within Caraga.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay San Rafael had a population of 2,063. This made it the 16th largest of 32 barangays in Prosperidad by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay San Rafael accounted for approximately 2.34% of the total population of Prosperidad, which stood at 88,321 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay San Rafael moving from 1,973 residents to 2,063 residents, an intercensal change of +4.6%. The trajectory indicates a growing community.
