Barangay Santa Irene

Barangay Santa Irene is a large barangay in the municipality of Prosperidad, located in the province of Agusan Del Sur, in the Caraga region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Santa Irene had a population of 6,629. This made it the 3rd largest of 32 barangays in Prosperidad by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Santa Irene accounted for approximately 7.51% of the total population of Prosperidad, which stood at 88,321 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Santa Irene moving from 6,148 residents to 6,629 residents, an intercensal change of +7.8%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. Barangay Santa Irene is officially classified as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.
